Indigenous Land Development Forum

This forum will provide information and create networks that promote Indigenous land development and economic opportunity in Saskatchewan.

The objectives of this forum include:

  • An overview of the land development process from start to finish;
  • An opportunity to build relationships and network to create partnerships for land development; and
  • Information on business attraction and investment including what site selectors are looking for.

The target audience includes:

  • Indigenous economic development corporations
  • Indigenous land managers and economic development coordinators
  • Political leadership
  • Partners
  • Private sector land developers
  • Community Economic Development Initiative (CEDI); Partnership between Federation of Canadian Municipalities and CANDO
  • SUMA, SARM
  • Potential investors

Members of the Planning Committee include: City of Saskatoon, Ministry of Trade and Export Development, Saskatchewan First Nations Economic Development Network, Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations, Ministry of Government Relations, Saskatoon Tribal Council, Indigenous Services Canada, Farm Credit Canada, and CCDF
